The Hon Rob Knowles AO, former Minister for Health, Aged Care and Housing in the Kennett Government and Professor Richard Smallwood AO, Emeritus Professor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne, have been appointed to the Board of DrinkWise Australia.

DrinkWise Australia is a not-for-profit social change organisation dedicated to promoting a healthier and safer drinking culture in Australia. It does this through national information and education campaigns, partnerships with community leaders and organisations, and the development of practical strategies and resources that better support the community in relation to alcohol use and misuse.

DrinkWise Australia is governed by a Board of (now) seven community and six industry representatives. The structure of DrinkWise Australia represents a unique opportunity to objectively link the preventative health sector, community, industry and government’s objectives.
