Australian General Practice Network Forum

The Chair of DrinkWise Australia, the Hon Trish Worth, spoke to over 1000 GPs at the Australian General Practice Network Annual Forum in Sydney on 2 November 2009. Trish highlighted the important role general practitioners (GPs) play in supporting the community in relation to alcohol issues and she urged them to draw on the resources developed by DrinkWise.

Fran Kelly (ABC Radio National) congratulated DrinkWise on the Kids and Alcohol Don’t Mix campaign and said how useful it was in supporting her own family.

DrinkWise provided tailored brochures to support GPs who may want to assist parents with the management of teenage alcohol issues, and feedback from delegates was overwhelmingly positive and encouraging.
